Bringing Creativity into the Store.

For the opening of Lucy & Yak's Portsmouth store, our artists brought their creativity directly to the shop floor, leading an interactive digital portrait workshop using iPads. The collaboration also celebrated our exhibition taking place locally, bringing together art, fashion and community in a fun and accessible way.

Customers were invited to experience the artists' creativity first-hand, turning a visit to the store into something more personal and memorable.

A perfect example of Open World: bringing artists with a learning disability into a retail environment to create new experiences, connect with customers and celebrate local creative talent.

“Collaborating with This New Ground to celebrate the opening of our Portsmouth store was a wonderful experience. The digital portrait workshop brought something really special to the space, creating a fun, creative and interactive experience for our customers. It was a lovely way to connect with the local community, celebrate the work of talented artists with a learning disability and bring our values of creativity and inclusivity to life.”

Creativity That Connects

The collaboration demonstrated how artist-led workshops can create engaging, memorable experiences while celebrating different perspectives and creative talents.

From in-store events and brand activations to staff workshops and corporate team-building sessions, our artists can bring their creativity into a range of settings. These experiences offer businesses a fresh way to connect with customers, bring teams together and explore creativity and inclusion through shared experiences.

It's about more than making art, it's about creating space for connection, collaboration and seeing things differently.
