Transforming Public Spaces Through Art.
Working with Portsmouth City Council, our artists took their creativity onto the streets, producing a vibrant mural that brought new colour, character and identity to a public space in the city.
The project gave artists with a learning disability the opportunity to contribute to Portsmouth's visual landscape, creating a lasting piece of public artwork that could be experienced and enjoyed by the wider community.
A perfect example of Open World: seeing the potential in an everyday space and using original artwork to transform how it looks and feels.
“Working with This New Ground on the Portsmouth mural project was a fantastic experience. The artists brought creativity, talent and a unique perspective to the project, creating a vibrant piece of public art that makes a positive contribution to the city's built environment. It's a great example of how collaborating with talented artists with a learning disability can enhance public spaces, celebrate creativity and deliver meaningful social impact.”

Art That Makes Its Mark
The mural demonstrates the potential of inclusive creative commissions to make a lasting contribution to the places we live, work and visit.
From large-scale murals and bespoke installations to artwork for offices, commercial developments and public spaces, our artists bring distinctive styles and fresh perspectives to each project.
For organisations, it's an opportunity to commission original artwork that gives a space its own identity, while investing in talented artists whose work deserves to be seen.
