Art Beyond the Gallery.
As part of PIVOT Fest, Portsmouth's first learning disability-led arts festival, Gunwharf Quays hosted a sculpture created by our artists, bringing an unexpected artistic experience to one of the city's busiest shopping destinations.
The installation placed the artists' work in front of a new audience, demonstrating how sculpture can add interest, personality and a sense of discovery to a commercial setting.
A perfect example of Open World: taking original artwork into unexpected places and finding new ways for people to encounter and experience art.
“We were delighted to host This New Ground's sculpture as part of PIVOT Fest, Portsmouth's first learning disability-led arts festival. The creativity and quality of the artwork brought something really special to Gunwharf Quays, creating an engaging focal point for visitors. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate local artistic talent, connect with our community and reinforce our commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive destination.”

Our artists bring original ideas and distinctive visual styles to these opportunities, opening up exciting possibilities for businesses looking to do something different.
